Pastaruoju metu didėja susidomėjimas egzotiniais gyvūnais, ypač ropliais, vis daugiau
asmenų nori juos laikyti namuose. Roplių, ypač driežų, sveikatingumą lemia jų laikymo sąlygos,
todėl itin svarbu užtikrinti tinkamą aplinką. Šio darbo tikslas – ištirti nelaisvėje laikomų driežų
(A.graminea ir A.vasconcelosii) būklę, įvertintant jų kūno morfometrinius rodiklius, laikymo
sąlygas, sveikatos būklę, elgesį bei išanalizuoti nelaisvėje laikomų driežų ligas. Driežai buvo
laikomi terariume, dydis (45 x 45 x 90 cm) ir atitiko Abronia genties poreikius. Temperatūra (dieną
20–22 °C, naktį 19 °C), santykinė drėgmė 60-70 proc. Naudotas kokoso substratas, augalai buvo
bromelijos, UVB apšvietimas ir palaikytas dirbtinas drėkinimas. Ištirta A.graminea (n=16 ) ir
A.vasconcelosii (n=14) driežai. Gyvūnų svoris nustatytas elektroninėmis svarstyklėmis, o kūno
morfometriniai duomenys įvertinti pagal Tully metodiką. Klinikinės apžiūros metu buvo vertinta
akių, ausų būklė, burnos gleivinė, kloaka, reakcija, gebėjimas judėti, ektoparazitai bei dehidratacijos
lygis ir nustatytas imitimas (1-5 balų skalėje). Išmatos tirtos flotacijos metodu.
A.vasconcelosii svoris (g) buvo 1,7 karto didesnis nei A.graminea. Kūno ilgis nuo kloakos iki
uodegos galo A.graminea – 110,62 ± 34,76 mm, A. vasconcelossi – 142,926 ± 44,373 mm. Tirtų
driežų imitimas tarp rūšių skyrėsi 13,50 proc., jie buvo vidutinio ir gero imitimo laipsnio.
Terariume netipiškai elgėsi 18,8 proc. A.graminea ir 14,3 proc. A.vasconcelosii gyvūnų. Pakitusi
odos būklė buvo pastebėta 18,8 proc. A.graminea ir 7,1 proc. A.vasconcelosii. Akių pažeidimai
buvo dažniau matomi A.vasconcelosii individuose (21,4 proc.) ir tik 6,2 proc. A.graminea gyvūnų.
Kloakos pakitimai buvo aptikti 18,8 proc. A.graminea ir 14,3 proc. A.vasconcelosii driežų.
Dehidratacija buvo stebima 2 kartus dažniau A.vasconceosii (60,0 proc.) nei A.graminea (33,3
proc).

SUMMARY Recently, there has been an increasing interest in exotic animals, especially reptiles, with more individuals wanting to keep them at home. The health of reptiles, particularly lizards, is influenced by their living conditions, making it crucial to ensure the proper environment. The aim of this study is to examine the condition of lizards (A. graminea and A. vasconcelosii) kept in captivity by evaluating their body morphometric indicators, living conditions, health status, behavior, and analyzing the diseases of lizards kept in captivity. The lizards were kept in a terrarium (45 x 45 x 90 cm), which met the needs of the Abronia genus. The temperature ranged from 20 22°C during the day and 19°C at night, with a relative humidity of 60–70%. The substrate used was coconut, and the plants were bromeliads, with UVB lighting and artificial humidity maintained. The study involved individuals of the species A. graminea (n=16) and A. vasconcelosii (n=14). The animals' weight was determined using electronic scales, and their body morphometric data were evaluated using the Tully method. During the clinical examination, the condition of the eyes, ears, mouth mucosa, cloaca, response, mobility, ectoparasites, and dehydration level were assessed, and a score of 1–5 was used to rate the condition. Feces were examined using the flotation method. The weight of A. vasconcelosii (g) was 1.7 times greater than that of A. graminea. The body length from the cloaca to the tip of the tail in A. graminea was 110.62 ± 34.76 mm, while in A. vasconcelosii it was 142.926 ± 44.373 mm. The mimicry of the examined lizards between the species differed by 13.50%, with the lizards exhibiting moderate to good mimicry. In the terrarium, atypical behavior was observed in 18.8% of A. graminea and 14.3% of A. vasconcelosii animals. Altered skin condition was observed in 18.8% of A. graminea and 7.1% of A. vasconcelosii. Eye damage was more commonly seen in A. vasconcelosii individuals (21.4%) and in only 6.2% of A. graminea animals. Cloacal changes were found in 18.8% of A. graminea and 14.3% of A. vasconcelosii lizards. Dehydration was observed twice as often in A. vasconcelosii (60.0%) compared to A. graminea (33.3%). Food remnants were most commonly found in the feces (50.6%). Eimeria spp. oocysts were found in 20.3% of all examined samples. Oxyuridae spp. were 7 found in 10.1% of all examined fecal samples. Blood traces were found in 13.9% of all fecal samples, and hemipenial prolapse was also identified. Keywords: Abronia graminea, Abronia vasconcelosii, lizards, lizard health, ethograms, husbandry
