Autorius: Lukas Drulia Darbo pavadinimas: Šeimos gydytojų požiūris į dirbtinio intelekto taikymą praktikoje Tikslas: Įvertinti Lietuvos šeimos gydytojų požiūrį į dirbtinio intelekto taikymą kasdieniame praktikiniame darbe. Uždaviniai: 1. Išanalizuoti mokslinę literatūrą apie dirbtinio intelekto taikymo galimybes, rizikas ir poveikį šeimos medicinos praktikai. 2. Nustatyti šeimos gydytojų žinių ir patirties lygį, susijusį su dirbtinio intelekto taikymu sveikatos priežiūroje. 3.
Author: Lukas Drulia Title: Family doctor’s perspectives on the use of artificial intelligence in clinical practice Aim: To evaluate Lithuanian family physicians’ attitudes toward the application of artificial intelligence in everyday clinical practice. Objectives: 1. To analyze the scientific literature on the possibilities, risks, and impact of artificial intelligence applications in family medicine practice. 2. To determine the level of family physicians’ knowledge and experience related to the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. 3. To explore family physicians’ attitudes, concerns, and expectations regarding the integration of artificial intelligence into their professional activities. 4. To analyze differences between urban and rural family physicians’ perspectives on the opportunities and impact of artificial intelligence in daily clinical practice. Methods and participants: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted using an anonymous questionnaire. The survey was distributed both electronically and in paper format among Lithuanian family physicians working in various healthcare institutions. A total of 148 family physicians participated in the study. The questionnaire consisted of 15 questions assessing knowledge and experience, attitudes and concerns, and perspectives on the application of artificial intelligence. Data were analyzed using statistical methods, including descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests. Results: More than half of the respondents reported using artificial intelligence tools in their clinical practice (53.4%); however, a considerable proportion had limited exposure and insufficient knowledge or training. Younger physicians and those with shorter work experience used artificial intelligence more frequently and evaluated their experience more positively. The main concerns related to artificial intelligence included data security, potential errors, and unclear responsibility for decision-making. Despite these concerns, the overall attitude toward the use of artificial intelligence was positive, and respondents emphasized its potential to improve work efficiency and patient care. Conclusions: Lithuanian family physicians demonstrate a generally positive attitude toward the use of artificial intelligence in clinical practice. However, its implementation is limited by insufficient training, lack of time, and unclear legal regulation. Greater knowledge and experience are associated with more favorable attitudes and fewer concerns. Successful integration of artificial intelligence into primary healthcare requires targeted education, clear legal frameworks, and practical implementation strategies.
