Abstract
ELISA tests of blood sera of industrial and breeders chickens show that from 39.58% to 72.5% of the tested samples contain antibodies against avian rhinotracheitis virus (ARTV). The chickens tested having not been vaccinated against the given agent as well as the absence of any marked symptoms of the disease indicate that low virulent ARTV strains circulate in the poultry farm causing the antibody formation.
