Covid-19 gydymas imunomoduliatoriais
Biomedicina / Biomedicine
The current pandemic situation, provoked by the SARS-Cov-2, has stimulated the search for medical treatment against Covid-19. Whereas the disease progression is related to the severe inflammatory condition, most of the drugs studied are directly or indirectly involved in immunosuppressive mechanisms. The aim of this integrated literature review - describe the alternatives of immunosuppressive therapy application to Covid-19. The research was conducted using the PubMed database, which included clinical trials related to primary immunosuppressive therapy and its efficacy in tackling coronavirus. The clinical trial research and results presented in the literature review are evaluated controversially - the clinical trials with drugs reveal positive dynamic signs in the treatment of patients with the severe form of coronavirus, however, insufficient sample size could be seen as the research limitation. Finally, considering the analysis presented in this study, it is concluded that the immunosuppressive and immunomodulatory treatment therapies can be promising in the fight against Covid-19 infection.
