Abstract (en)
The aim of our study was to find the best measurements of wild boar third and fourth metacarpal and metaarsal bones that would show the sex of individual. A metrical study of 216 metacarpal and metatarsal third and fourth bones consisting of 35 male and 19 female was done for differentiating male from female of wild boar according as metapodial bones. Measurements were taken in millimetres, according to technique described by von den Driesch (1976). 97.14% male and 89.47% female of wild boar was sexed correctly by applying the logistic regression analysis technique.
