In order to evaluate the prevalence of Ca-P disorders and effectiveness of their treatment in haemodialysis patients (HD pts), a retrospective analysis of all (n=48) HD pts in the KUMH Haemodialysis Centre was done. The study revealed abnormal levels of Ca⁺⁺, P, PTH in 89.6% of pts. Hyperphosphataemia, as a dominant disorder, was found in 72.3% of pts; secondary hyperparathyroidism, in 63.4% of pts; hypocalcaemia, in 14.6% of pts; hypercalcaemia, in 6.3% of pts. [...].
