Introduction. One of the most frequent disease associates with aging is atrial fibrillation (AF). From 2010 to 2060 the number of adult 55 years and over with atrial fibrillation will be more than double. This increase would have major public health implications while the most common arrhythmia is associated with a fivefold risk of stroke and three-fold incidence of congestive heart failure, on higher mortality. Aim of the study. To evaluate stroke and bleeding risk as well as anticoagulation in patients with AF in Lithuanian Jonavos hospital. [...].
