Tyrimo tikslas.
The aim. To evaluate the effectiveness of comprehensive rehabilitation in patients after lower limb amputation and prosthesis, depending on the level of amputation. Methodology. Public company „Ortopedijos technika“, Physical medicine and rehabilitation department in 2015 September-December was investigating 47 patients, who were selected with a target selection method. The effectiveness of rehabilitation was assessed using the Keitel and Barthel index, measuring the strength of amputated limb femoral quadriceps muscle by Lovett scale and measuring the amplitude of hip joint with and aid goniometer at the beginning of rehabilitation and at the end. Data analysis was performed using the statistical program „SPSS 23.0“. Results. Comparing Keitel and Barthel index, femoral quadriceps muscle and hip joint range of motion degrees for all of 47 study participants, there was found a statistically significant difference before rehabilitationand after that (p<0.001). Rehabilitation effectiveness did not depend on different height of lower limb amputations (p>0.001). Conclusions. Complex rehabilitation treatment in patients after lower limb amputations are effecient and statistically significant (p<0.001), but does not depend on a height of amputations (p>0.001).
