Pagrindinis išeminio insulto diagnostikos metodas yra kompiuterinė tomografija (KT). Tobulėjant tyrimo metodams, vis dažniau praktikoje naudojamas magnetinio rezonanso tomografijos (MRT) tyrimas, kuris padeda nustatyti tikslesnį išemijos laiką ir parinkti tinkamiausią gydymo taktiką. Tyrimo tikslas − išanalizuoti ir apžvelgti įrodymais grįstoje mokslinėje literatūroje išeminio insulto diagnostiką MRT tyrimu.
Ischemic stroke is one of the leading causes of mortality and disability in developed countries. Ischemic stroke can be detected by MI within the first few hours of onset. Multimodal imaging can provide information for the diagnosis of ischemic stroke, patient treatment options and prognosis. The aim of this study is to analyze and review the evidencebased scientific literature for the diagnosis of ischemic stroke by MRI. Electronic literature review was conducted in PubMed, Google Scholar, UpToDate databases, using keywords: MRI, ischemic stroke, diagnostics. According to the literature, the use of MRI for stroke diagnostics is increasing. Mostly, it could be used in patients with unknown stroke onset time. MRI is useful in determining stroke periods. The most important findings in the early hyperacute period in the ischemic zone are ADC low and DWI high signal intensity, FLAIR/ DWI mismatch. In the late hyperacute period increased FLAIR signal intensity can be seen. In the subacute period ADC sequences initially show a low intensity, then pseudo-normalization and at the end of this period a high-intensity signal appears in the ischemic zone. During the chronic period, high signal intensity remains in ADC sequences.
