Date:<\/strong> 2 December 2024 The conference will present an overview of current issues and trends in the use of illicit psychoactive substances, exploring potential solutions in prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and policy responses (U.S. perspective), alongside an assessment of the situation in Lithuania. Electronic cigarettes and new-generation psychoactive substances are presenting increasing public health challenges. Often portrayed in social contexts as a healthier alternative to traditional tobacco products, recent studies indicate that their long-term health effects may have more severe negative consequences.
