  • Prof. Dr Jean-Philippe Assal<\/strong>, Geneva College, Switzerland. The professor participated in the initiation of the higher medical education reform in the LSMU, implementation of the training programmes for patients with non-communicable chronic diseases, training of healthcare specialists, and contributed significantly to the implementation of a modern diabetes mellitus management model in Lithuania.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Prof. Dr Michel Roland Magistris<\/strong>, University of Geneva, Switzerland. The professor participated in several joint Swiss-Lithuanian and international research projects together with the colleagues from LSMU, collaborated in the successful defence of several doctoral dissertations and publication of articles in highly rated journals. Prof. Dr Michel R. Magistris\u00a0 \u00a0contributed to organising the financial investment support of the Swiss Confederation to the healthcare programmes in Lithuania, the implementation of clinical neurophysiology projects, and training of the Lithuanian specialists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Prof. Habil. Dr Henrikas \u017dilinskas<\/strong>, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Awarded the honorary member\u2019s title for the contribution to the strengthening of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, rational optimisation of its structural resources and practical potential thereof, which gave significant impetus to the strengthening position of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Prof. Habil. Dr Stefan Schreiber<\/strong>, Kiel University, Germany. Close cooperation with the professor helped the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) launch the molecular research of microbiota in 2010, implement the fecal microbiota transplantation procedures at LSMU in 2014. In 2017, a unique microbiota filtrate transplantation equipment was gifted to the LSMU. Every year, 2\u20134 young researchers and doctors from LSMU complete internship at Kiel University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

    • Prof. Dr Alon Harris<\/strong>, Artificial, Intelligence & Human Health Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, USA. Collaboration with Prof. Dr Alon Harris has been ongoing for over 20 years. During this time, the Department of Ophthalmology has grown into a centre for biomedical research in ophthalmology and vision care. Specifically, Prof. Ingrida Janulevi\u010dien\u0117 and the Department of Ophthalmology, together with the professor, conducted research investigating the relationship between ocular blood circulation, blood pressure, intracranial pressure, and glaucoma. For this purpose, new diagnostic methods were implemented in clinical studies, and mathematical models were applied to assess disease progression, allowing for the analysis of isolated factors and those contributing to the interpretation of clinical data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prof. Dr Jean Bachet<\/strong>, European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery: EBCTS. Prof. Jean Bachet proactively collaborates with LSMU, delivers lectures to the students at the Faculty of Medicine under the Cardiovascular Surgery module. The long-standing collaboration strengthens the international competitiveness of LSMU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prof. Dr Dietger Niederwieser<\/strong>, University of Leipzig, Germany. Prof. Dr Dietger Niederwieser has been collaborating with LSMU in advanced cell therapy for many years. The advanced cell therapy is used for malignant tumour treatment, immune response modulation, and gene therapy applications. A telemedicine-supported transplantation programme connecting the two centres is the result of the collaboration with LSMU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prof. Dr Rytis Prekeris<\/strong>, University of Colorado, USA. Prof. Dr Rytis Prekeris is involved in joint research projects with LSMU on a regular basis, supervises LSMU PhD students, and hosts PhD students for internships at the Rytis Prekeris Laboratory at the University of Colorado. He is also a member of the Biophysics Doctoral Committee at LSMU and Vytautas Magnus University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prof. Harald Paul Martin Gollnick<\/strong>, Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany. Collaboration with LSMU dates back to 1998 when Prof. H.P. M. Gollnick initiated the Erasmus programme together with Otto von Guericke University (Magdeburg). His first PhD student was Prof. Dr. Skaidra Valiukevi\u010dien\u0117, with whom he started developing clinical and scientific oncodermatology in Lithuania. By collaborating with leaders in different fields, he developed the study programme in skin and venereal diseases and contributed to several doctoral dissertations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Dr Beata Eva Petrovski<\/strong>, University of Oslo, Norway. Dr Beata Eva Petrovski\u2019s pedagogical and research activities are characterised by international and high scientific standards, outstanding international research methods in diabetic retinopathy using telemedicine tools, and proactive collaboration with LSMU, incorporating the latest knowledge in biostatistical methods. The long-standing collaboration continues enhancing the scientific level of the Institute of Endocrinology and the international competitiveness of LSMU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prof. Dr Luciano Saso<\/strong>, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. Prof. Luciano Saso is a professor and scientific research coordinator at the Department of Pharmacology under the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine of the Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). \u00a0The professor shares his expertise with the LSMU scientists, promotes further collaboration among the institutions, and delivers lectures during his visits at the LSMU.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Prof. Habil. Dr Christos Zouboulis<\/strong>, Dessau Medical Centre and Brandenburg Medical School, Germany. The professor has been collaborating with our University since 2002, gives lectures at national conferences, and was a member of the organisational committees of 4 international conferences hosted by LSMU. Prof. Zouboulis plans to develop the scientific collaboration of LSMU in neurodermatology through new international projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
