The Postdoctoral Fellowships action targets researchers holding a&nbsp; PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop &nbsp;their careers. Postdoctoral Fellowships help researchers gain experience in other&nbsp; countries, disciplines and non-academic sectors. The programme enables them to develop their creativity and acquire new skills by working on an individual, interdisciplinary research and training project, as well as through international and inter-sector mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>European Postdoctoral Fellowships<\/strong>&nbsp;(EPF) are open to researchers of any nationality who wish to engage in R&amp;I projects by either coming to Europe from any country in the world or moving within Europe.<br><strong>Duration:<\/strong>&nbsp;12-24 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Additional Funding Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MSCA PF proposal may benefit from two complementary funding mechanisms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ERA Fellowships. <\/strong>If your MSCA PF proposal with LSMU is highly evaluated but not funded due to budget limitations, it is automatically resubmitted to the ERA Fellowships call. This provides an additional chance to secure funding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ERDF Top-Up Funding for Lithuania. <\/strong>The Government of Lithuania has transferred ERDF funds to the Horizon Europe programme, enabling the European Commission to finance more high\u2011quality MSCA PF proposals submitted with Lithuanian institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This significantly increases the likelihood of success for applicants choosing LSMU as their host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lithuanian University of Health Sciences &nbsp;&#8211; Your Future Host Institution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lithuanian University of Health Sciences &nbsp;(LSMU) is the largest biomedical and health sciences research institution in Lithuania and a leading centre of excellence in life sciences, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, public health, and clinical research. It integrates fundamental, translational, and clinical research within a unified academic and healthcare infrastructure, covering the full continuum from laboratory discovery to clinical application. LSMU operates specialised research institutes and advanced laboratories supporting R&amp;D, biotechnological innovation, and interdisciplinary research, and actively&nbsp; participates&nbsp; in national and international collaborative projects. A key strength of the University is its close integration with large-scale clinical infrastructure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To apply for an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship, candidates must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-4fc3f8e1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1. Be <strong>in possession of PhD at the call deadline.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2. Have <strong>up to 8 years experience in research<\/strong> from the date of award of the doctoral degree at the call deadline.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3. Fellows <strong>must not have resided or carried out their main activity<\/strong> (work, studies, etc.) in Lithuania for more than 12 months in the 36 months before the call deadline.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4.
