Awarded to the best students studying at state-funded places and non-state-funded places for the best admission or study results. Students studying at places not financed by the state, who began their studies at the University before 2009, cannot receive an incentive scholarship.<\/li><li>Funds for incentive scholarships are distributed proportionally to the faculties according to the number of students studying. These scholarships are awarded to students with the highest study average in the relevant courses of the faculty\u2019s study programme (in the first semester \u2013 those with the highest entrance score). &nbsp;<\/li><li>Lithuanian Science Support Dr. Juozas and Birut\u0117 Skrinskai Fund (for students of the Faculty of Medicine);<\/li><li>Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis Scholarship (for the student of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Public Health);<\/li><li>Juozas Olekas Scholarship (for a student of the Faculty of Medicine);<\/li><li>JSC \u201cGintarin\u0117 vaistin\u0117\u201d Scholarship (for the 4th&nbsp;and 5th-year&nbsp;students of the Faculty of Pharmacy)<\/li><li>JSC \u201cMED GRUP\u0116\u201d Scholarship (for a student of the Odontology programme at the Faculty of Odontology)<\/li><li>Veterinary Pharmacy Association Scholarship (for a student of the Veterinary Medicine study programme at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine).<\/li><\/ul>\n                                <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n                                            <\/div>\n                                                                                            <div class=\"acc-item\" id=\"support-for-lithuanians-from-abroad\">\n                                                    <div class=\"acc-head\">\n                                Support for Lithuanians from Abroad                            <\/div>\n                                                                            <div class=\"acc-c\">\n                                <div class=\"prose md:prose-lg\">\n                                    \n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>There are&nbsp; two types of support available for Lithuanians born abroad:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scholarship \u2013 3.25 BSI (BSI &#8211; Basic Social Benefit).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social benefit&nbsp;is a lump sum payment, which is granted according to the social situation of the applicant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Students applying for support&nbsp; must be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Admitted&nbsp;to the first-cycle, integrated, second or third-cycle studies at the Lithuanian higher education institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the last session was held without academic debts&nbsp;(except for students claiming only social benefits).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support shall not be granted to students studying in the languages of the countries from which they have come.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Applications are accepted twice a year<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spring Semester \u2013 from 15 January to 20 February<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Autumn Semester \u2013 from 15 August to 30 September<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Students wishing to receive support&nbsp;for studies as foreign Lithuanians at Lithuanian higher education institutions in spring and autumn&nbsp;semesters:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Within the established time limits must <a href=\"https:\/\/parama.vsf.lt\/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2f\"><strong>complete an electronic application form<\/strong><\/a> for support and, if necessary, deliver documents to the Foundation at A. Go\u0161tauto g. 12-407, 01108 Vilnius.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lithuanians born abroad who apply for support for the first time submit to the Foundation&nbsp;a document certifying Lithuanian descent issued by the Lithuanian community or another institution, or a copy thereof, or documents confirming that they have lived abroad for at least 3 years, and upon arrival in the Republic of Lithuania they started to study in 8-12th grade (I-IV grades of the gymnasium), or copies thereof.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lithuanians born abroad wishing to receive a social benefit shall submit to the Foundation, before the deadline for submission of applications, documents confirming the social situation of Lithuanian family abroad (documents confirming the number of family members, death certificates, etc.) or copies thereof certified in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts, unless the Foundation indicates that documents do not need to be submitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information&nbsp;on the amount of support available and payment procedure, see<a href=\"https:\/\/vsf.lrv.lt\/lt\/studentams\/iseiviai\/\"><strong>&nbsp;here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If&nbsp; you have any problems with your application, please contact&nbsp;us at <a href=\"mailto:aldona.valatkeviciute@vsf.lt\"><strong>aldona.valatkeviciute@vsf.lt<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lithuanians from abroad can receive two types of support:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scholarship of 3.25 BSI (BSI &#8211; Basic Social Benefit)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social benefit&nbsp;is a lump sum payment, which is granted according to the social situation of the applicant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n                                <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n                                            <\/div>\n                                                                                            <div class=\"acc-item\" id=\"support-for-non-state-funded-studies\">\n                                                    <div class=\"acc-head\">\n                                Support for non-state funded studies                            <\/div>\n                                                                            <div class=\"acc-c\">\n                                <div class=\"prose md:prose-lg\">\n                                    \n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The financial Support for the Students of First-Cycle, Second-Cycle, and Integrated Studies governs the support procedure for the <strong>students of non-state-funded<\/strong>&nbsp;first-cycle, second-cycle, and integrated studies at the University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The financial support consists of reimbursement of part of the tuition fee with the aim of improving the accessibility of higher education for students experiencing social exclusion and supporting the motivation of the best-performing students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The financial support can be awarded only to the University students attending non-state funded studies who have the last semester grade equal to at least the aggregate average grade of all students attending the same year and study program at the University for the last semester less than 10%. The previous provision shall not apply if only one exam is graded for the respective semester, in which case, the grade for the last semester shall be at least the grade of the year and study program less than 10%. First-year students are eligible to apply for financial support starting the second (spring) semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The application &#8220;Regarding Financial Support&#8221; and other necessary documents are submitted in <a href=\"https:\/\/lsmusis.lsmu.lt\/\">LSMU SIS<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t<ul class=\"doc-links my-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t    <li>\n                                            <a href=\"https:\/\/lsmu.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/Financial-support-for-the-students-of-non-state-funded-studies-2024.pdf\"\n                                                                                                                            >\n                            <div class=\"icon\">\n                                <svg width=\"36\" height=\"36\"><use xlink:href=\"https:\/\/lsmu.lt\/wp-content\/themes\/lsmu\/images\/icons\/icons.svg#doc\"\/><\/svg>\n                            <\/div>\n                            The Regulations on the Financial Support                        <\/a>\n                    \t\t\t    <\/li>\n\t\t\t\n        \t<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"prose md:prose-lg\">\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For detailed information, please contact the International Programme Coordinator, Laima Piliponien\u0117, e-mail: <a href=\"mailto:laima.piliponiene@lsmu.lt\">laima.piliponiene@lsmu.lt<\/a>. <\/p>\n                                <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n                                            <\/div>\n                                                                                            <div class=\"acc-item\" id=\"lithuanian-state-scholarships-for-full-time-masters-degree-or-integrated-studies\">\n                                                    <div class=\"acc-head\">\n                                Lithuanian State scholarships for full-time Master\u2019s degree or integrated studies                            <\/div>\n                                                                            <div class=\"acc-c\">\n                                <div class=\"prose md:prose-lg\">\n                                    \n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Education Exchanges Support Foundation is opening a 2026 Call for applications for Lithuanian state scholarships for full-time Master\u2019s degree or integrated studies (a maximum of the two last years of the integrated studies) at Lithuanian higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funding under the 2026 Call will be provided to the citizens of <strong>Armenia, Azerbaijan, China (People\u2019s Republic of China and Taiwan), Georgia, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Ukraine, The United States of America, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries, 70 grants in total <\/strong>(monthly scholarships and grants covering the study cost), ensuring quotas for citizens of the following countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ukraine<\/strong> (20 grants);<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries<\/strong> (5 grants).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No more than <strong>10 grants<\/strong> are allocated to citizens from countries mentioned above, except for citizens of Ukraine and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A monthly scholarship is set to 8 Basic Social Amounts (BSA) which is equal to 592 EUR in 2026. The grant covering the study cost is limited to <a href=\"https:\/\/lsmu.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/National-Standard-Study-Cost_2026.docx\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/lsmu.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/National-Standard-Study-Cost_2026.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the national standard study cost<\/a> approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and may not exceed this amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More information here: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/studyin.lt\/scholarships\/full-time-master-degree-studies\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>https:\/\/studyin.lt\/scholarships\/full-time-master-degree-studies\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n                                <\/div>\n                            <\/div>\n                                            <\/div>\n                                                                                            <div class=\"acc-item\" id=\"support-for-students-with-disabilities\">\n                                                    <div class=\"acc-head\">\n                                Support for students with disabilities                            <\/div>\n                                                                            <div class=\"acc-c\">\n                                <div class=\"prose md:prose-lg\">\n                                    \n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Provision of financial aid measures to students with disabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To receive targeted payments students must receive a study permit and disabled students of higher education institutions operating in Lithuania and branches of foreign higher education institutions who have study-related activities and must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Citizens of the Republic of Lithuania<\/strong> or citizens of other states and stateless persons <strong>who have declared permanent residence in the Republic of Lithuania<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>has a <strong>45 percent or lower level of working capacity<\/strong> or a severe or moderate level of disability as determined by law;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is <strong>studying<\/strong> at a higher education institution for <strong>the first time<\/strong> (unless a disabled person, having previously discontinued studies or been expelled from a higher education institution, starts studying again. These targeted benefits are not provided for the period for which benefits were paid before the date of termination of studies or removal from higher education):&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>according to the first cycle (professional bachelor or bachelor) study programme or an integrated study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>according to the second cycle (master&#8217;s) study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>according to a non-degree study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the third cycle (doctorate);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>have no academic debts<\/strong> according to the studied study programme and\/or <strong>penalties<\/strong> imposed by the procedure established by the higher education institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Targeted payments are available to students of ALL higher education institutions, regardless of whether their higher education institution is a project partner. Targeted payments are awarded for one semester (including the holiday period).<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>A student seeking <strong>to receive a targeted payment submits an application electronically by logging into the Fund&#8217;s information system (IS &#8220;PARAMA&#8221;) <\/strong>during the main admission: for the fall semester \u2013 <strong>from 1 September <\/strong>of the current year <strong>until 16 October<\/strong>, and for the spring semester \u2013<strong> from 1 February <\/strong>of the current year <strong>until 16 March.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The payment of the targeted benefit is terminated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>after the student has finished their studies before the planned graduation date, if they have terminated their studies in accordance with the procedure established by the higher education institution, or if the student has been expelled from the higher education institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>after the student goes on academic leave or temporarily suspends their studies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>upon the student\u2019s death.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The payment of the targeted benefit is suspended if the work capacity level changes (set above 45 percent work capacity level) or the student acquires academic debts or penalties in accordance with the procedure established by the higher education institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The implementation of the provisions of this description is coordinated by the Department of Disability Affairs under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n        <div class=\"acc-set\">\n\t                                                            <div class=\"acc-item\" id=\"state-funded-financial-support\">\n                                                    <div class=\"acc-head\">\n                                State-funded financial support                            <\/div>\n                                                                            <div class=\"acc-c\">\n                                <div class=\"prose md:prose-lg\">\n                                    \n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department for the Affairs of the Disabled under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, in accordance with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-tar.lt\/portal\/legalAct.html?documentId=41bda100cfa911e9929af1b9eea48566\"><strong>The procedure for providing financial assistance measures to students with disabilities studying at higher education institutions<\/strong><\/a>, provides financial assistance to citizens of the&nbsp;<strong>Republic of Lithuania<\/strong>&nbsp;or citizens of other countries and stateless persons who have declared a permanent place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania and are studying at a higher education institution, meeting the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have a level of work capacity determined in accordance with the procedure established by legislation at 45 per cent or less, or a severe or moderate disability determined while studying at a higher education institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>study for the first time:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under a first-cycle (to acquire a Professional Bachelor\u2019s or Bachelor\u2019s degree) study programme or an integrated study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under a second-cycle (Master\u2019s) study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under a vocational study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under a third-cycle (doctoral) study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under a short-term study programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following financial assistance measures are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>allowances to meet special needs<\/strong>: monthly allowance amount (50% of the basic social insurance pension);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>partial reimbursement of study expenses<\/strong>: allowance amount 3.2 times the basic social benefit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students with disabilities seeking financial assistance shall submit an application for financial assistance and a copy of the disability certificate to the LSMU Student Affairs Office within 10 working days from the beginning of each semester.
