External evaluation of higher education fields is carried out by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education or another higher education quality assessment agency included in the European Register of Quality Assurance Agencies for Higher Education. Assessment and accreditation is performed &nbsp;<strong>at least once in 7 years<\/strong>, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-tar.lt\/portal\/lt\/legalAct\/f7967320a89011e9b474d97de297fe08\/asr\"><strong>procedure<\/strong><\/a> established by the Ministry of Education and Science, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-tar.lt\/portal\/lt\/legalAct\/a2f5c7402bb611eabe008ea93139d588\/asr\"><strong>methodology<\/strong><\/a> established by the Centre for Study Quality and Assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The quality of study fields is assessed according to the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Study aims, outcomes and content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Links between science (art) and study activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student admission and support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Studying, student performance and graduate employment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teaching staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learning facilities and resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study quality management and publicity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fields are given the scores (5-point assessment system)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Grade<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Evaluation<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Description<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5<\/td><td>Exceptional qualities<\/td><td>The field is exceptionally good in the national and<br>international context\/environment.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4<\/td><td>Very good<\/td><td>The field is evaluated very well in the national and<br>international context, without any deficiencies.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td>Good<\/td><td>The field is being developed systematically, has<br>distinctive features.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td>Satisfactory<\/td><td>The field meets the established minimum requirements,<br>needs improvement.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>1<\/td><td>Unsatisfactory<\/td><td>The field does not meet the minimum requirements,<br>there are essential shortcomings that make it impossible to<br>conduct field studies.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are three types of decisions for the accreditation of studies in the field: 1) Accreditation for 7 years; 2) Accreditation for 3 years; 3) No accreditation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conclusions of the external evaluation of the ongoing and planned study programmes are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skvc.lt\/default\/lt\/valuations\"><strong>Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC)<\/strong><\/a> website or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aikos.smm.lt\/Puslapiai\/Pradinis.aspx\"><strong>In the Open Information, Counselling and Guidance System (AIKOS).<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the&nbsp; Order of the Minister of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania of&nbsp; 17 July&nbsp; 2019, sub-section&nbsp; 3.1.
