Erasmus + programme aims to enable staff from research and higher education institutions to study at a partner institution or host company, thus acquiring the technical knowledge and practical skills needed for their current job and professional development.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The mobility of staff in research and higher education institutions for training includes the mobility of administration or other non-academic staff from one research and study institution to a partner institution or company for learning purposes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Staff selection criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Knowledge of a foreign language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Content of the work programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf Relevance of the employee’s training to the activities of the unit or institution and relevance of his \/ her learning to the institution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf The importance of the chosen training program for the employee’s qualification and professional activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf The employee does not work as a lecturer at LSMU for any part of the position. Teacher study visits are possible in exceptional cases, with a justification as to why a teaching visit is not possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf staff of administrative units. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf staff participating in a staff mobility programme for the first time during the current academic year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25cf if during the visit the links between the departments and faculties and other departments are strengthened and expanded, future cooperation projects are prepared, and the exchange of knowledge and experience is encouraged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selection is based on applications submitted by staff. The final selection is made by the heads of the departments and units where the staff work and the representatives of International Relations and Study Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration of the Erasmus+ mobility for training
<\/strong> 
According to the rules of the Erasmus + programme, one visit may last from 2 days to 2 months, excluding travel time (min. 5 days in non-EU countries). Depending on the real funding opportunities, the recommended duration of an Erasmus + training visit is 7 days (5 working days + 2 days for travel). <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Staff members traveling under the Erasmus + program are entitled to a fixed travel and subsistence allowance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The amount of the grant for travel expenses depends on the distance between the sending and host institutions, i.e. between the city of Kaunas and the place of performance. The distance is calculated on the basis of the European Commission’s distance calculator \u00ae  Europos Komisijos atstum\u0173 skai\u010diuokle<\/a>.

The amount of the subsistence allowance is calculated on the basis of the standard of living abroad and the duration of the mobility. That is, by multiplying the number of days by a fixed rate that applies to the day in the host country concerned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LSMU staff who wish to receive funds to go E+ training at a foreign institution shall submit an application for training to International Relations and Study Center no later than 1 month before the planned visit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required documents: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Application for training;\u00a0Parai\u0161ka mokytis<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Mobility Agreement (1 copy – filled in and the signatures of the three parties are collected by the mobility participant); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Grant agreement (2 original copies – prepared by TRSC); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The secondment application shall be completed on the PADUS platform (to be completed by the mobility participant); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Certificate (1 original copy – prepared by TRSC); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. EU online survey questionnaire (at the end of the mobility period, an e-mail invitation to fill in this questionnaire will be filled in by the mobility participant); <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Financial settlement documents (travel tickets, accommodation invoices, etc. documents submitted to the Accounting and Reporting Service within 3 days after the end of the visit). <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Before leaving, the employee must acquire necessary medical insurance abroad. As mobility participants traveling to Partner countries do not have a European Health Insurance Card, it is necessary to acquire insurance with any insurance company. It is recommended to purchase a full insurance package (health, accident, civil liability, etc.) that is valid during the visit to a foreign country.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

\n Erasmus+ virtual staff mobility for training <\/div>\n
\n
\n \n

In accordance with the EC and National Agency recommendations COVID-19, the LSMU Rector’s Order on Erasmus Virtual Employee Mobility<\/a> was prepared, which provides for an additional workload grant for Erasmus teachers: additional workload is understood as harmonization and adaptation of the content and forms of distance learning transfer works to the virtual learning environment of a foreign higher education institution.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virtual visits are only possible if there are no opportunities for live learning (f.e. due to pandemic restrictions, etc.). For staff participating in an Erasmus virtual learning activity, a grant may be awarded to cover the participation fee (if applicable) of the training provider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All other mobility documents (activity registration, operating contract, grant agreement) remain the same as for physical mobility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon receiving an invitation to study at a foreign institution, the employee must find out if he or she needs a visa for that country. Information on the conditions of entry, stay and departure can be checked on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania: http:\/\/keliauk.urm.lt\/lt\/keliaujantiems\/pries-pradedant-kelione\/vizos <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the issuance of a visa, please contact the nearest diplomatic mission of the Partner country to which you intend to travel in Lithuania (if any) or in a neighboring country. The Erasmus Coordinator issue a letter of guarantee from the sending institution confirming the staff member’s participation in the Erasmus programme or other documents required for obtaining a visa.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
