Pagyvenusių ir senų žmonių burnos ligų rizikos veiksniai, jų burnos higienos įpročiai bei naudojamos burnos priežiūros priemonės

Abstract

Problemos aktualumas ir darbo tikslas. Lietuvoje gyventojų senėjimas yra ypač aktuali tema, nes remiantis Lietuvos statistikos departamento duomenimis šalyje pagyvenusių asmenų skaičius auga kasmet. Vienas svarbiausių gerodontologijos uždavinių tampa burnos ertmės sveikatos išsaugojimas, kadangi sėkmingas jų vykdymas duotų ne tik naudą vyresniems asmenims, bet ir nemažą ekonominį efektą šaliai. Tyrimo tikslas - įvertinti pagyvenusių ir senų žmonių žinias bei motyvaciją burnos ertmės priežiūrai, ištirti jų burnos higienos įpročius ir naudojamas burnos priežiūros priemones.

Tyrimo medžiaga ir metodai. Tyrimas buvo atliktas 2021 metų vasario 25 – balandžio 23 dienomis. Tiriamosios populiacijos dydį sudaro 149 asmenys. Tyrimo instrumentas – anoniminis klausimynas, pateiktas internetinėje apklausų platformoje www.apklausa.lt. Duomenų analizė atlikta naudojant SPSS programos paketą. Hipotezėms, kad požymiai tarpusavyje susiję, tikrinti skaičiuotas chi kvadrato (χ2 ) kriterijus.

Rezultatai. Apie burnos ertmės sveikatos ir bendros organizmo sveikatos ryšį nežinojo net pusė tyrimo dalyvių. Respondentus prižiūrėti savo burnos ertmę labiausiai skatino noras išvengti dantų skausmo (27,6%), motyvuotais burnos priežiūrai jautėsi 48,7%. Du kartus per parą dantis valėsi 57,7% pagyvenusių ir 34% senų žmonių. Savo burnos higienai naudojo tik dantų šepetėlį ir pastą 74,8% respondentų, o irigatoriaus nenaudojo nei vienas. Pas gydytoją odontologą kartą per metus lankėsi 22% respondentų, o pas burnos higienistą niekada nesilankantys nurodė net 69,3% tiriamųjų.

Išvados. Pagyvenusiems ir seniems žmonėms individualios burnos higienos priemones reikėtų parinkti atsižvelgiant į jų bendrą sveikatos, burnos būklę ir ligų rizikos veiksnius. Tik pusė tiriamųjų mano, kad yra motyvuoti prižiūrėti savo burnos ertmę. Didėjant amžiui dantų valymų skaičius per parą mažėja, taip pat didžioji dalis respondentų pas burnos higienistą nurodo nesilankantys visai.

Relevance of the problem and aim of the work. In Lithuania, the aging of the population is a particularly relevant topic, apart from the Lithuanian Department of Statistics, where the number of elderly people lives. One of the most important tasks of gerodontology is to maintain the health of the cremation cavity, as their fulfillment is significant not only for the benefit of older people, but also for the significant economic effects in the countries. The aim of the research is to assess the knowledge of the elderly and the elderly and to motivate the maintenance of the incineration cavity, to investigate their incineration hygiene habits and to use incineration care products.

Material and methods. The study was conducted from February 25 to April 23, 2021. The study population consists of 149 individuals. The research instrument is an anonymous questionnaire submitted on the online survey platform www.apklausa.lt. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software package. To test the hypotheses that the traits are related, the chi-square (χ2) criterion was calculated. Results. As many as half of the study participants were unaware of the relationship between oral health and general body health. Respondents were most motivated to take care of their oral cavity by the desire to avoid toothache (27.6%), and 48.7% felt motivated to take care of their oral cavity. 57.7% of the elderly and 34% of the elderly brushed their teeth twice a day. 74.8% of respondents used only a toothbrush and toothpaste for their oral hygiene, and none used an irrigator. 22% of the respondents visited the dentist once a year, and as many as 69.3% of the respondents indicated that they had never visited an oral hygienist. Conclusions. For the elderly and the elderly, individual oral hygiene measures should be selected based on their general health, oral condition and disease risk factors. Only half of the subjects believe that they are motivated to take care of their oral cavity. As the age increases, the number of toothbrushes decreases per day, and the majority of respondents indicate that they do not visit an oral hygienist at all.
