Šiame baigiamajame darbe tiriami ilgalaikiai pacientų, kuriems buvo atlikta širdies transplantacija, rezultatai, lyginant pacientus, kuriems prieš transplantaciją buvo implantuotas kairiojo skilvelio pagalbinis įrenginys (LVAD) (LVAD grupė), su pacientais, kuriems buvo atlikta tiesioginė širdies transplantacija be LVAD (de novo grupė). Tyrimas apžvelgia paskelbtą literatūrą, analizuojant išgyvenamumo rodiklius, komplikacijų dažnį ir gyvenimo kokybę (QoL) abiejose grupėse.
This thesis investigates the long-term outcomes of patients who underwent heart transplantation, comparing those who received left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation prior to transplantation (LVAD-supported group) with those who underwent direct heart transplantation without LVAD support (de novo group). The study reviews published literature, analyzing survival rates, complication rates, and quality of life (QoL) among both groups. The findings indicate that LVAD-supported patients experience higher rates of early post-transplant complications, such as infections and thromboembolic events, but achieve comparable long-term survival and QoL outcomes to non-LVAD patients. The thesis highlights the critical importance of optimizing timing for LVAD implantation and managing associated risks to improve patient outcomes.
