Welcome you to the 5th International conference of pharmacy and allied sciences, which is dedicated to the 145th anniversary of prof. Petras Raudonikis. It is already a tradition to meet you at the annual conference, this year jointly organized by Faculty of Pharmacy of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Alumni organization of Faculty of Pharmacy, Lithuanian Pharmaceutical Society and Lithuanian Pharmacists‘ Union. I believe that over the years, this conference will become one of the most important pharmacy science’s events in Lithuania and neighbor countries, and it will attract a number of high level researchers and speakers from different European institutions. 5th conference is dedicated to remind grand seignior for higher university-level pharmacy education in Lithuania – Professor Petras Raudonikis. Thankfully for this person, lithuanian pharmaceutical science has established a solid foundation, which was developed by subsequent generations. Nowadays we see, that pharmacy and cognate sciences are integrating with different areas of biomedical research. Such a progress requires knowledge, creates challenges to research, manufacturing, development, safety and efficacy of products, though opens new opportunities for the scientists. It is believed that most of the theoretical models and practical solutions proposed by scientists will be applied in practice to achieve efficient and safer use of pharmaceuticals in practical medicine. Thus all the participant of the conference are invited for productive networking and cooperation in developing new and actual scientific ideas, to discuss opportunities and risks.
