Aim To estimate spinal mobility and pain intensity changes applying different physiotherapy methods and intervention frequency in patient with ankylosing spondylitis Goals: 1. To evaluate spinal mobility and pain intensity changes applying different physiotherapy methods. 2. To evaluate spinal mobility and pain intensity changes applying different intervention frequency 3. To estimate, which physiotherapy method and intervention frequency most effectively increases the spinal mobility and reduces the pain. Methods There was one patient who was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. On patient was applied two different methods – PNF and exercises on gymnic ball, intervention frequency – 3 times per week and 5 times per week. Before and after every method the patient was measured: sit and reach test, modified Schober’s test, lumbar spine side flexion test, the seated trunk rotation test, tragus to wall test, cervical spine rotation test and chest expansion test. Pain intensity was measured with visual analogue scale. The Conclusions: 1. Patient showed best results with PNF method. Best improvement was in cervical spine rotation. Exercises with gymnic ball provoked less pain than PNF. 2. Spinal mobility increased after 5 times a week training program, less pain felt after 3 times a week training program.
