Lithuanian Light Grey cattle were bred in Lithuania from the old times and rate typical to the country. Some years ago, they were almost replaced, mainly by black and white or other more-productive cattle breeds. At the present time this breed compose very small population and still are endangered. Lithuanian Light Grey cattle local cattle-ash-grey was recognized as unique and preserved on an international scale. They are inscribed in Catalog of diversity of world agricultural animals. The main aim of this trial was to established the main blood parameters, minerals and hepatic enzymes, of Lithuanian light grey cattle ant to compare them with "Bayer Med LT 2000" parameters. Blood samples were taken from the jugular vein of twenty five Lithuanian grey cows: five from Teaching and practrical centre of LVA and twenty from Farm of Petniųnai family. Serum was analyzed for calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), aspartate aminotransferease (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT). Accordingly to result, LDH level ranges from 1252 up to 1867 U/L in pasturable season, and from 1217 up to 2070 U/L in stable season. the results shows a statistical increase in LDH for Lithuanian light grey cattle's comparing with recommended values of LDH (BAYR MED LT 2000) which ranges from 308.6 to 938.1 U/L.
