Presence of gingival inflammation, oral hygiene index and probing depth were also evaluated. The connection between nine most commonly used cardiac medications and gingival overgrowth was estimated. Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS v.16. Results: Gingival enlargement occurred in 25% of the patients. 100% of them had grade 1 and 30% had grade 2 GO. The frequency of cardiac drugs usage was: Prestarium (8.8%), Aspirin (16.3%), Cardace (6.3%), Preductal (17.5%), Varfarin (8.8%), Moxonidin (7.5%), Nebilet (16,3%), Imdur (6.3%), Betaloc-zok (30%).
