Abstract (en)
Introduction. Early childhood is a critical period for motor development in children [1]. Youngsters should engage in physical exercise that improves all their motor skills along with their physical performance. One of such activities is the Japanese martial art of karate. Training in martial arts can result in gains in power, stability, flexibility, and agility [2]. Although several emotions, such as anxiety, anger, satisfaction, and pride, can be felt while participating in any sport, one of the most common states encountered in competitive sports is anger, which is typically elicited by stress during tournaments [3].
