Clinical practice is one of the components of nursing staff training. The goal of clinical practice is to improve professional nursing skills by providing theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The practice aims to develop students' critical thinking, ability to communicate with patients, to work independently and as part of a team, to examine and to independently develop a plan of nursing and care. This practice diary is designed to document the practice of fourth year students in the Nursing programme and is to be filled in each day at the practice site. The practice diary contains the evaluation criteria of the clinical practice skills and tasks. The curriculum includes three student practices in the fourth year of study: Clinical Practice of Geriatric Nursing, during which students will acquire the skills to care for geriatric, oncological and palliative patients and properly plan their care. Practice V (Clinical Practice of Community Nursing), during which students will acquire practical skills in assessing the health of community members, identify their nursing needs, organize and implement relevant health education in primary health care facilities and patients' homes. Final Practice, consists of three practices: - Clinical Practice of Paediatric Nursing, during which students will acquire the skills to plan the care of sick children, implement nursing plans and evaluate nursing outcome. - Clinical Practice of Mental Health Nursing, during which students will care for patients with mental health illnesses. - Clinical Practice in Intensive Care unit, during which students will acquire knowledge and skills to care for patients who require intensive care.
