Abstract (en)
Functional interaction of rabbit liver aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases (ARSases) with ribosomes in vitro has been demonstrated. We found that polyribosomes stimulate catalytic activity of synthetases and protect these enzymes from thermal inactivation. Ribosomes as well as their subunits increase positive cooperativity between tRNA-binding sites of the leucyl-tRNA synthetase. These facts demonstrate clearly that such interaction between these components of translation machinery has a functional meaning. [...].
