The experiment was carried out in the apiary of a Lithuanian beekeeper and the effect of the organic selenium preparation SELENOPIRAN (Russia) on the development and productivity of bee families was studied. Two analogous groups of bee families (control and experimental) containing five families each were formed. During the spring stage of development the bees from the experimental group were given 4.5 mg of the organic selenium preparation SELENOPIRAN together with the syrup. [...].
