Abstract (en)
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficacy of there different medicamental methods for stopping paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and their influence upon ECG. Problems: to estimate efficacy, adverse effects, effect rate, and the cost of the applied methods. Methods: amiodarone in dose of 7 mg/kg for body mass was infused during 30 min. Propafenone in dose of 2 mg/kg of body mass was injected by bolus and, if the sinus rhythm did not restore, propafenone in dose of 0.008 mg/kg/min was infused during 2 hours; and the third method was a single loading oral 600 mg dose of propafenone.
