Mikrobiologiniams tyrimams paimti 257 slaptuoju mastitu sergančių karvių pieno mėginiai. Tyrimai parodė, kad pagrindinis (46 % atvejų) slaptojo mastito sukėlėjas - S. aureus. Be to, nustatyta, kad didesnėse karvių fermose paplitę ne vienos rūšies mikroorganizmai – jų aptikta septynios rūšys.
Milk samples from individual cows were analyzed for subclinical mastitis on 6 Lithuanian dairy farms. Prevalence of udder infection was investigated in 1010 cows. 257 milk samples were collected from lactating cows to determine the subclinical mastitis pathogens. Intrammamary infections were diagnosed in 42,6 % of the cows. Staphylococcus species were the most prevalent bacteria. S. aureus appeared in 46 % milk samples. 4,7 % cows had udder infection caused by coagulase negative Staphylococcus. Strept. agalactiae was isolated from 3,1 % of the milk samples. Environmental mastitis pathogens, coliforms and streptococci were isolated from 8,2 % of the milk samples.
