Asepsis and antisepsis : textbook

Abstract

Asepsis and antisepsis is an important part of General surgery course. Training book is prepared for the 3rd year foreign students of Kaunas Medical University. Acutal questions of infection control in medicine, especially in surgery, are presented by makers in this book. Today, we practice asepsis and antisepsis based on scientific principles. Infection control, asepsis, body substance isolation, and sterile technique should always be an essential part of patient care at any level. The modern information from legal literature sources and materials from guidelines and recommendations of Centers for Disease and Infection Control of United States, Europe countries and Australia are used in this texbook.
