Abstract (en)
Introduction Glaucoma is a group of optic neuropathies leading to irreversible vision loss. Intraocular pressure (IOP) remains the main modifiable risk factor in glaucoma treatment [1,2]. Evidence shows that IOP may be associated with cardiometabolic risk factors and cardiovascular disease [3]. The relationship between glaucoma and obesity has already been investigated in other populations, database matched-cohort studies have been published [4,5]. However, this study is important in The North Europe and Lithuanian population. Aim To evaluate the impact of obesity on the ocular perfusion parameters and alterations of optic nerve head (ONH) in optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patients with open angle glaucoma. [...].
