Introduction Glaucoma is a group of optic neuropathies leading to irreversible vision loss. Intraocular pressure (IOP) remains the main modifiable risk factor in glaucoma treatment [1,2]. Evidence shows that IOP may be associated with cardiometabolic risk factors and cardiovascular disease [3].
