Non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) is the most common of the two types of diabetes, since it concerns 80-85% of those with diabetes. The information concerning NIDDM has been collected within two years (1993-1994). Special forms for the collection and accumulation of information, in which physicians give the data on diabetic patients (name, second name, birth data of diagnosis, height, weight, type and dosage of medicaments, diabetes complications) were elaborated.
