Introduction Hallux valgus is a painful and very common deformity caused by abductor/adductor imbalance in the big toe. Relationship between pes planus and hallux valgus remains controversial [1], [2]. As some studies suggest that severe hallux valgus deformity is often caused by mild and moderate pes planus, others fail to find this relationship [2], [3].
