Abstract (en)
Background. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an immune mediated disease of young adults that requires lifelong treatment. Evidence support immunomodulatory therapies with either recombinant interferon-beta (INFb) or glatiramer acetate (GA) as the first-line for relapsing-remitting clinical course MS (RRMS), and positive results from phase III trials encourage start of treatment even in patients with clinically isolated syndromes to diminish the risk for permenent disability. Aim: To compare the relative efficacies of INFb dformulations and GA for the treatment of RRMS. [...].
