Purpose. To evaluate hemodynamic parameters as possible predictors for glaucoma progression in open-angle glaucoma patients (OAG). Subjects and study design: 30 OAG patients were followed in an observational cohort study, receving double masked fixed combination treatment Dorzolamide/timolol (DTFC) or Latanoprost/Timolol (LTFC) (n=15 per treatment group). Measurements were taken at timolol baseline and 1, 6, 12, 18 months after fixed combination treatment. examinations included IOP, arterial blood pressure (BP), ocular and diastolic perfusion pressures (OPP, DPP), color Doppler imaging (CDI), pulsatile ocular blood flow analysis (POBF), scanning laser polarimetry and Humphrey visual field. Results: 13 eyes (21.6ƒs) were classified as progressing after 18 months. DTFC group had higher OPP and DPP at 1, 6 and 18 months visits compared to LTFC group (pƒ0.05; t test). [...].
