Background and objectives. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are usually used to treat various severity and localization pain. Medications of this class are classified by selectivity to cyclooxygenase-1 and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-1, COX-2). NSAIDs are inhibiting COX-1, COX-2, 5-lipoxygenase, formation of free radicals and synthesis of prostaglandins. They are suppressing pain, inflammation and elevated body temperature. Because of these efects NSAIDs are one of the most commonly used over the counter medicines. [...].
