Abstract (en)
The teaching staff of the Department of Intensive Care and a group of toxicologists continued the scientific work on Acute Intoxications started in 1997/ A paper on snake venom intoxication Snake Bites, analysing pathogenesis, clinical symptomatology, discussing first aid treatment, including the Lithuanian snake bite intoxication versions, was published. In process is a piece of work on acute intoxication with carbon monoxide; an article on this subject has been prepared and sent to a journal. A teaching book Clinical Toxixology is being prepared for publishing by a team of toxicologists from Kaunas and Vilnius.
