- Short description of the system/service/application: E-Health NetLit is an internet and ISDN based eHealth Network for Integrated Support of Clinical Practice, Education and Research connecting the members of the Kaunas eHealth Cluster. The Cluster includes Kaunas University of Medicine (Telemedicine Center), Kaunas Medical University Hospital, Institute for Biomedical Research of Kaunas University of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering Institute of Kaunas University of Technology (Telemedicine Support Center). The network is used for support of clinical decisions in ophthalmology with applications to retinal diseases and tumours, otorhinolaryngology with application to laryngeal diseases, rehabilitation of patients after cochlear implantation, cardiology (user interface between cardiologist-experts with telemedicine system). The network connects physicians of Lithuania and Sweden (Stockholm St.Erik Eye Hospital, Lund University Hospital) involved in teleconsultations, education and research. There is an Internet-based archive of the images of retinal and laryngeal diseases including tumours, integration with EPR (Electronic Patient Record), connection to PACS (Picture Archiving Communicating System), development of decision support system. 2.
