Abstract (en)
Objectives: Sotf tissue closure is mandatory for optimal healing of teeth extraction sites. Once a tooth is extracted, direct primary wound closure is often complicated, due to the lack of soft tissue that leaves large openings in the alveolus. Absence of soft tissue closure leads to prolonged postextraction site healing by secondary intention. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of inverted periosteal flap (IPF) technique to obtain and maintain soft tissue closure of the postextraction sites. Material and Methods: 30 adults patients with impacted mandibular third molars participated in the study. [...].
