19th Wonca World Conference of Family Doctors The Millennium Development Goals: The Contribution of Family Medicine : Abstracts : 19-23 May 2010, Cancún, México / WONCA-The World Organization of National Colleges, Academies. Cancún : WONCA, 2010., 2010-05-19, p. 331, no. PP-032.

To evaluate prevalence of arterial hypertension (AH) among children and teenagers and assess AH correlation with several risk factors. Special questionnaires were used seeking to evaluate person's family anamnesis, height, weight, waist size, body mass index (BMI) and also blood pressure (BP) was measured. The assessment of children AH was executed according to the BP dimensions by age presented by Gessner I. H in 1993. Four GP and five nurses took part in these studies. 912 children, from 6 participated to 18 years old, participated in this assessment. There were 51.1% boys and 48.9% girls, the average age 14.5 years. Moderate hypertension was found for 5.5%, severe hypertension - 1.7% of children. AH was stated 8.5% boys and 5.8% of the girls. Significantly low positive correlation was observed between systolic BP and anthropometric measurement among the boys from 6 to 12 years and from 13 to 18 years old and the girls from 6 to 12 years old. Medium correlation between systolic BP and weight and BMI was indicated for the boys from 13 to 18 years old. Familly anamnesis-AH was found for 9 (10.8%) children, who had familly anamnesis. 1.Among the persons observed a significant correlation systolic BP and anthropometric measurement and BMI. 2.It was determined that arterial BP significantly depends upon age and sex.3.AH was more observed among children, who has familly anamnesis. 4.It is extremely important to observe children with problematic familly anamnesis and promote healthy lifestyle, reducing overweight and obesity.

IV Baltic Hypertension Congress. Satellite Symposium to the 20th European Meeting on Hypertension. Annual Meeting of Estonian Society of Hypertension : 22-24 April, 2010, Tallinn, Estonia : Final programme and abstract book / Estonian Society of Hypertension. Tallinn : Estonian Society of Hypertension, 2010., 2010-04-22, p. 49, no. P-03.

Objective: To evaluate prevalence of arterial hypertension (AH) among children and teenagers and assess AH correlation with several risk factors. Design and methods: Special questionnaires were used seeking to evaluate person's family anamnesis, height, weight, waist size, body mass index (BMI) and also blood pressure was measured. The assessment of children's arterial hypertension was executed according to the blood pressure dimensions by the age presented by Gessner I. H in 1993. Four general practitioners and five general practice nurses took part in these studies. Results: 912 children, from 6 to 18 years old, participated in the assessment. There were 51.1% boys and 48.9% girls, the average age 14.5 years. Moderate hypertension was found for 5.5% of children and severe hypertension was fund 1.7% of children. AH was stated 8.5% boys and 5.8% of the girls. Significantly low positive correlation was observed between systolic blood pressure and anthropometric measurement among the boys from 6 to 12 years and from 13 to 18 years old and the girls from 6 to 12 years old. Medium correlation between systolic blood pressure and weight and BMI was indicated for the boys from 13 to 18 years old. Familly anamnesis-arterial hypertension and diabetes-was determined for 83 (9.1%) children. AH was found for 9 (10.8%) children, who had familly anamnesis. Conclusions: 1.Among the persons observed a significant correlation between systolic blood pressure and anthropometric measurement and BMI. 2.It was determined that arterial blood pressure significantly depends upon age and sex.3.AH was more observed among children, who had familly anamnesis. 4.It is extremely important to observe children with problematic familly anamnesis and promote healthy lifestyle, reducing overweight and obesity.

Tyrimo tikslas: Įvertinti sergančiųjų ūminiu MI su ST pakilimu pilnos ir dalinės pirminės PKI reikšmę grįžtamosios išemijos, naujų ūminių išeminių sindromų ir širdies nepakankamumo atsiradimui vienerių metų eigoje ir išgyvenimui vėlyvuoju ketverių metų laikotarpiu. Tiriamąjį kontingentą sudarė 2005 m. dėl ūminio MI su ST pakilimu KMUK Kardiologijos klinikoje gydyti ligoniai, kuriems taikyta pirminė PKI. Stancionarizuotųjų 2005 m. duomenų bazė buvo sudaryta vykdant ankstesnę temą. Stacionarizuotų 2009 m. pirmąjį pusmetį duomenų bazę sudarėme, naudodami Invazinės kardiologijos laboratorijos ir KMU Širdies centro informacinės bazės medicininę informaciją. [..].

Gediminu Sakalniku, Lietuvos hipertenzijos lygos prezidentu.
