Abstract
3. Kuo darbuotojai dažniau vartoja keptas bulves, geria limonadus ar dažnai valgo greitą maistą, tuo jų subjektyviai vertinama gyvenimo kokybė yra prastesnė. Nustatyta, jog intensyvus mėsos (jautienos, kiaulienos) vartojimas didina veiklos apribojimus dėl fizinių sutrikimų bei lemia prastesnę bendrą sveikatos būklę. Vartojantys daug daržovių, gerina savo fizinę būklę, mažina kūno skausmus ir didina energingumą. Kuo tiriamieji daugiau valgo skubant, tuo dažniau nurodo prastesnę subjektyviai vertinamą gyvenimo kokybę. Dažnesnis persivalgymas lemia dažnesnius kūno skausmus. Didesnis fizinis aktyvumas lemia mažesniu apribojimus dėl fizinių sutrikimų, didesnį energingumą, geresnę psichoemocinę ir fizininę buklę bei subjektyviai vertinamą gyvenimo kokybę.
Aim of the study. To evaluate the correlations between the quality of life of the staff of the Republican Center for Addictive Disorders (hereinafter - RPLC) and the adjusted lifestyle factors.
Methods: A one-time survey of the staff of the Republican Center for Addiction Disorders was conducted. The research tool is an electronic questionnaire, with its content and form being quantitative. All RPLC employees were interviewed using an anonymous questionnaire. Response rate - 34.6 percent. SPSS program version 24.0 was used for statistical analysis of the study data. MS Excel 2015 was used to display the charts. A p <0.05 is considered statistically significant.
Results. Employees with normal body weight are more likely to have breakfast. The vast majority of workers were found to occasionally overeat, with more than half occasionally eating potato chips, roasted nuts, popcorn, sweets, and having dinner less than 2 hours before. to sleep. Comparing the smoking frequency with the age and work experience of the subjects, it was found that the older the employees or the longer the work experience, the less likely they are to smoke. The higher the BMI of the respondents, the less likely they are to exercise. The quality of life of RPLC staff is good. It has been found that the higher the BMI, the worse the physical and general health status, the greater the limitation due to physical impairment. Subjectively assessed the quality of life is inferior when subjects are more likely to consume fried potatoes, drink lemonades, or frequently eat fast food. Workers who consume a lot of vegetables improve their physical condition, reduce body aches and increase energy. Eating in a hurry leads to a poorer subjectively assessed quality of life. The results revealed that the more physically active employees are, the lower their activity limitations due to physical disabilities, the greater their energy, the better their mental and physical condition, and the better their quality of life.
Conclusions. 1. Workers with normal body weight are significantly more likely to have breakfast. 65 percent sometimes eat in a hurry. Almost one in two respondents (54.2%) sometimes eat while watching TV or reading a newspaper. The vast majority (75.8%) of employees indicated that they sometimes overeat. Also, more than half (60.8%) of the respondents sometimes snack on low-value snacks: potato chips, roasted nuts, popcorn, sweets. It was found that the older the respondents, the more often they choose to have dinner less than 2 hours before sleep. The higher the BMI, the less likely subjects are to exercise.
2. Based on the results of the research we could confirm that the quality of life of PLC employees is good. Due to the aging of the workforce, it effects badly workers physical and general health, beside that, it improves their psycho-emotional status. The higher the BMI, the worse the physical and general health status, the greater the limitation due to physical impairment.
3. It has been found that the more often employees consume fried potatoes, drinks lemonades, or eat fast food, the lower their subjectively assessed quality of life. Intensive consumption of meat (beef, pork) increases activity restrictions due to physical disorders and leads to poorer general health. Consuming lots of vegetables improves your physical condition, reduces body aches and increases energy. The more those who eat in a hurry, the more often they report a lower subjective quality of life. More frequent overeating leads to more frequent body aches. Higher physical activity results in lower limitations due to physical disorders, higher energy intensity, better psycho-emotional, and physical condition, and subjectively assessed the quality of life.
