Background and objectives. In 2020, by American Diabetes Association and American College of Cardiology consensus decision, pharmacists (PHA) were recognized as an important multidisciplinary diabetes case team members. Research conducted in Lithuania showed that diabetic patients (DP) might benefit from such consultations by having a better glycemic control. The objectives were to evaluate the attitude of DP and PHA towards the glycemic self-monitoring (GSM) consultation provided by PHA at a pharmacy, to identify factors that would encourage or impede PHA from providing such consultations, and to evaluate PHA knowledge in diabetes. Material (patients) and research method used. The study has been approved by the Lithuanian Bioethics Committee approval (Nr. 2021/5-1341-817). 75 PHA and 50 DP were enrolled into the study. PHA were provided with "pharmacists' questionnaire", their knowledge was evaluated by validated test (0-20 points). DP answered "patients" questionnaire. DP' and PHA' attitude towards the GSM consultation provided by PHA was evaluated by 5 points Likert scale. [...].
