Internship Opportunity in Japan

The International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW) in Japan is inviting 5th year Medicine programme students to do an internship at IUHW Narita Hospital in 2025, in two time periods:
- from the 25th of August to the 19th of September (8 students);
- from the 22nd of September to the 17th of October (8 students).
Internship benefits include: the opportunity to spend four weeks in Japan where you will gain a variety of professional skills in the medical field as well as international experience. The selected candidates will receive accommodation at the university’s dormitory which will be funded by IUHW. Travel and return to/from Japan and other personal expenses are to be covered by the participant.
Only fifth-year Medicine programme students are eligible to apply.
MAIN SELECTION CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS:
- academic performance of all study years at LSMU (lowest average is 8);
- intermediate level of English proficiency (assessment of professional foreign language module, foreign language certificate B2 or higher level);
- motivation and communication skills.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Please fill out an ONLINE APPLICATION FORM until the 7th of March: MOTIVATION INTERVIEW. Make a self-introduction video where you:
- briefly introduce yourself;
- express your motivation on why you would like to do an internship at the IUHW;
- explain how you will present LSMU abroad;
- explain how involved you are in the student and other activities of LSMU.
The video should be no longer than 3 minutes.
Upload the video on your student‘s SharePoint, select Anyone in the Sharing permissions and send the link to viktorija.slivinskaite@lsmu.lt until the 7th of March.
The number of available places is 16.
We will inform all students about the selection results by email until the 28th of March.
