During the visit, the possibility of cooperation in the fields of military medicine, cosmetology curriculum development, doctoral studies, and project activities were discussed.
“We see many opportunities for cooperation with your university,” said Prof. R. Benetis, Rector of LSMU.
The Rector stressed that LSMU and the Medical University of Lodz share many similarities and are both strong, leading universities in their regions.
“International cooperation can help us to increase our human potential,” said Prof. L. A. Wozniak, Vice-Rector of the Medical University of Lodz.
A cooperation agreement is expected to be signed in the next few months.
“Building close cooperation takes time. Initially, we need to develop knowledge and familiarity with each other’s institutions and establish bilateral connections between researchers, PhD students, and interested faculties. Once this foundation is in place, we will be well-positioned to undertake larger projects,” said the representative of the Medical University of Lodz.
The Polish guest also visited the departments of the University and Kauno Klinikos, got acquainted with their research activities, ongoing innovations, and future prospects.
“It is very important for your country’s health system and society to have such a comprehensive and collaborative institution,” emphasised Prof. L. A. Wozniak when sharing her insights about LSMU.
