17 Countries Joining Efforts to Fight Dementia: JADE Health Initiative Kick-off Meeting in Spain

Kick-off meeting of the EU initiative JADE Health – Joint Action addressing Dementia and HEALTH was held in Merida, Spain on 12-13 February 2025, bringing together stakeholders and project partners from 17 countries, 22 Affiliated Entities (AE) and 8 Associated partners (AP) for this cause.

The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) is coordinating one of the project’s working groups, which will develop recommendations for the development of clinically integrated treatments and services for people with dementia and neurodegenerative diseases across Europe.

During the two-day kick-off meeting, attended by Prof. dr. Ida Liseckienė representing LSMU, issues related to project implementation, management, dissemination of results and synergies with other European initiatives were discussed. Country representatives shared their experiences on how to reduce the burden of Alzheimer’s disease on society and develop new models of care.
