Dean of the International Relations and Study Centre Elected Vice-President of the International Council of Ophthalmology
Professor Ingrida Janulevičienė, Dean of the International Relations and Study Centre at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), has been elected Vice-President of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO).
“This is a tremendous honour and a great responsibility,” said Professor Janulevičienė, expressing her gratitude for the trust placed in her.
The ICO unites the global ophthalmology community, bringing together more than 180 national, regional and subspecialty ophthalmological societies from around the world. Its mission is to strengthen ophthalmic education and continuing professional development, improve access to the highest-quality eye care, and contribute to the preservation and restoration of vision worldwide. This year, the ICO celebrates its 100th anniversary.
