THE Impact Rankings 2024: LSMU Scores High in Good Health and Wellbeing Category
In the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024, the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) has maintained its high position, just like last year. The overall ranking of the University is 801–1000.
This year, LSMU was evaluated in six out of 17 categories: good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, partnership for achieving goals, and reducing inequalities. In 2023, the University was assessed in five categories.
This year’s outstanding result is a very high ranking in the category Good Health and Well-being, where LSMU has been recognised as one of the world’s leading universities, ranking 10th (with a score of 91.1) out of 1,498 educational establishments assessed. This high ranking has been determined by the University’s strong research record, its extensive training of health science graduates, as well as its cooperation and significant impact on human health and well-being at the national and international level.
In the Gender Equality category, LSMU was ranked 401–600 out of 1361 institutions evaluated, and received 54 points. The University was also ranked in the categories of Decent Work and Economic Growth (score 54.6) and Reduced Inequalities (48.5), the latter being the first time LSMU was evaluated in. In the category Partnership for Achieving Goals, LSMU was ranked 601–800 out of 2031 institutions evaluated, with a score of 67.1.
THE Impact Rankings are based on criteria based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
LSMU has been receiving top ratings in national and international university rankings for years. LSMU was ranked second after Vilnius University in the 2024 State University Rankings by the magazine “Reitingai” (Rankings). LSMU has retained this position for the second consecutive year.
