LSMU Practical Training and Testing Centre
LSMU PRACTICAL TRAINING AND TESTING CENTRE
The public institution LSMU Practical Training and Testing Centre is located in Kaunas district municipality, in Giraitės village, Akacijų St. 2. The territory of the Centre is spread over several villages near Giraitės.
The autonomous public body – Practical Training and Testing Centre of the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy – was established in January 2009. Following the merger of the two higher education institutions, the public institution LSMU Practical Training and Testing Centre was established in January 2011.
The Centre is governed by the Statutes of the Institution, the Resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the internal rules of procedure, and other regulatory documents.
The current functions of the Centre do not differ much from that of 1941. These include practical training of students and conducting research experiments, livestock breeding, development of animal husbandry and veterinary science programmes, advisory services for the specialists, and economic activities.
