6th International Scientific Conference “Livestock Production – Recent Trends and Future Prospects”

We invite you to participate in the 6th International Scientific Conference “Livestock Production – Recent Trends and Future Procpects”, which will be held in a hybrid format (both on-site and remote) on October 8–9, 2026.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Animal Sciences of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, the Institute of Animal Science of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, together with the Division of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.

During the conference, we will share professional experience, discuss the most relevant issues related to animal breeding, nutrition, genetics, and the quality of animal products, as well as examine modern trends and future perspectives in animal husbandry.

The following scientific sections are planned for oral and poster presentations:

• Animal Nutrition
• Animal Breeding and Genetics
• Production Quality

Date: October 8–9, 2026
Place: Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Faculty of Animal Sciences, Tilžės 18, Kaunas.

Certificates: conference speakers and participants will be issued certificates registered with the Veterinary Continuing Education and Consulting Centre.
A free certificate is issued only to the following conference participants: invited speakers, presenters, and attendees who did not give a presentation but participated in the conference either in person or online and registered upon arrival.

No conference fee is applied for participants.

Information regarding presentations:

• The duration of an invited speaker’s oral presentation is 20 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion.
• The duration of an oral presentation is 12 minutes + 3 minutes for discussion.
• The duration of poster presentation is  3-5 minutes.
• Poster presentations must be prepared in PowerPoint format and include narration (audio recording). They will be uploaded and made available in a remote OneDrive storage.
• Requirements for abstracts
• We kindly ask that abstracts of oral and poster presentations be submitted via email conferences@lsmu.lt till 15 September 2026.
• Abstracts of oral and poster presentations are planned to be published in a supplement of the scientific journal „VETERINARIJA ir ZOOTECHNIKA“ (ISSN 1392-2130; ISSN 2669-2511).
