LSMU Presents Study Opportunities at Helsinki “Studia” Fair
On November 25-26, representatives of the International Relations and Study Centre of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), Agnė Bartuškienė and Urtė Stankaitytė, took part in the annual “Studia” study fair in Helsinki, where they met and interacted with prospective students from various regions of Finland. At the fair, the LSMU representatives answered questions important to young people about study quality, the academic environment and study climate, lecturer competencies, activities offered for international students, access to psychological support during studies, and employment prospects after graduation. Visitors at the booth also had the opportunity to hear first-hand experiences from LSMU graduates and receive practical advice based on their study and career paths.
Presentation of Study Opportunities and Students’ Interest
International programme coordinators from the International Relations and Study Centre introduced students to LSMU study programmes, admission requirements, specifics of academic and student life, opportunities to engage in scientific activities and student organisations. Young people were also interested in Lithuanian culture, traditions, daily life in Kaunas, and the possibility of visiting the university during Open Days. Many visitors had already heard about LSMU, so they came to the booth looking for additional information about their chosen fields of study and the preparation required for admission.
Connecting Students with Universities
One of the aims of the event was to introduce young people to study opportunities abroad and to provide a chance to speak directly with university representatives. Participants learned about bachelor’s and master’s programmes, admission processes, academic strengths, and career prospects in the international labour market. At the LSMU booth, visitors found the latest information materials about studies, university infrastructure, scientific research, and innovation. Their interest grew even further thanks to LSMU-branded souvenirs.

An Interactive Experience: Virtual Reality

The virtual reality (VR) glasses project, initiated by the International Relations and Study Centre of LSMU, attracted significant attention. With the help of VR technology, students could “visit” university laboratories, the Medical Simulation Centre, lectures, operating rooms, and student leisure spaces. This immersive experience allowed them to see the study environment up close and to feel as if they were already part of the LSMU community.
Acknowledgement to LSMU Hospital Kauno Klinikos and Departments
