PLACES AND ACTIVITIES
Volunteers can be students and employees of LSMU, citizens of the Republic of Lithuania aged 14 and older, and foreigners legally present in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania.

- What will you be doing? Volunteering with animals. Providing care and treatment to wildlife, content creation for social networks, development of educational activities.
- What do we expect from volunteers? Sense of responsibility, motivation.
- When are volunteers needed? The department is open to visitors interested in volunteering only during specific periods due to the nature of its activities. For volunteering in this department, please contact savanoriai@lsmu.lt by email.
- What are the benefits? Engaging experiences, knowledge of wildlife treatment and care. Volunteer certificate on request.

- What will you be doing? Animal care, animal welfare, biosecurity at the Clinic, educational activities, making activity resources for animals.
- What do we expect from volunteers? Sense of responsibility.
- When are volunteers needed? The department is open to visitors interested in volunteering only during specific periods due to the nature of its activities. For volunteering in this department, please contact savanoriai@lsmu.lt by email.
- What are the benefits? Gaining insight into the work of a veterinarian. Completing the social hours required for the practice, gaining more experience in animal care. Volunteer certificate on request.

- What will you be doing? Volunteering at events, conferences. Technical pre-event preparation and support during the event: decorations, setting up signs, greeting guests, attendee registration and guidance.
- What do we expect from volunteers? Polite communication skills, courage, preferably English at B2 level (for some events).
- When are volunteers needed? Main events include the start of the academic year, Christmas events in December, graduation ceremonies in January and June.
- What are the benefits? Gaining insight into the behind-the-scenes of event planning and contributing to major events at LSMU. LSMU merchandise. Volunteer certificate on request.

- What will you be doing? Volunteering at sports events. Supporting social media outreach, preparation, and work during the event (registration of participants, setup of posters/decorations).
- What do we expect from volunteers? Sense of responsibility.
- When are volunteers needed? LSMU Primary school and LSMU Sports festival (in September).
- What are the benefits? Assistance in all aspects related to health and fitness. We will design sports programmes. Volunteer certificate on request.
- What will you be doing? Handling museum specimens, giving tours (occasionally).
- What do we expect from volunteers? Diligence. Fluency in English preferable (for excursions).
- When are volunteers needed? The department is open to visitors interested in volunteering only during specific periods due to the nature of its activities. For volunteering in this department, please contact savanoriai@lsmu.lt by email.
- What are the benefits? Improve your knowledge in anatomy and get to know the Museum of Anatomy. Volunteer certificate on request.
- What will you be doing?
Assistance during events: preparation of space, reception of participants, registration and information.
Promotion of the Faculty of Public Health: representation of its study programme at study fairs, trips to Lithuanian schools, participation in receiving guests from educational institutions, assisting and participating in practical activities.
Activities with social networks: content creation, representation, generation of ideas, assistance in preparation of information reports.
- What do we expect? Responsibility, initiative, creativity and a smile.
- When are volunteers needed? Admissions take place during certain periods. For volunteering at this department, please contact savanoriai@lsmu.lt.
- What are the benefits? The opportunity to contribute to the promotion of the Faculty of Public Health, to apply your knowledge, strengthening of personal competences, communication, planning and teamwork skills. Volunteering certificate.
DEPARTMENT OF PREVENTIVE MEDICINE:
- What will you be doing?
Technical assistance during the events: preparation of space (tables, arrangement of equipment), registration of participants and information/assistance during practical events.
Promotion of food preparation and healthy nutrition: help in the preparation of healthy simple meals at events, setting the tables and serving the food to the guests, preparation of the sharing material.
Educational activities (according to competences): Preparation of information stands and materials, sharing of healthy lifestyle advice to participants of the event, participation in discussions and question-answer sessions.
- What do we expect? Responsibility.
- When are volunteers needed? Admissions take place during certain periods. For volunteering at this department, please contact savanoriai@lsmu.lt.
- What are the benefits? Knowledge of healthy lifestyle and nutrition, the opportunity to contribute to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the opportunity to apply existing knowledge in real situations, the strengthening of communication and teamwork skills are deepened. To become a volunteer and join the LSMU community you need to perform the following steps:
- Choose your preferred volunteering area HERE.
- Fill in the registration form HERE.
- Wait to be contacted by the LSMU Volunteer Coordinator.
- Complete the application form (will be sent to you).
- Sign a written volunteering agreement with the University.
- Read and comply with the rules and requirements of occupational health and safety and fire safety.
- Notify the Volunteer Coordinator on the last day of the volunteering period if you wish to receive the certificate.
