The Study Programme Committees (SPC) of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) shall organise their activities in accordance with the Regulations of the Study Programme Committees of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences approved by the Resolution of the LSMU Senate No. 148-04 of 22 April 2021
The Chairperson of the Committee provided for by the Regulations shall perform the following functions:
15.1. to organise the activity of the Committee;
15.2. to draft the annual activity plan of the Committee and the report for the previous academic year and submit it for approval to the Dean;
15.3. to participate in the process of preparation for submission the self-evaluation report of the respective study field and cycle for the external assessment;
15.4. to represent the study programme(s) at the events in Lithuania and other countries;
15.5. to assign the responsibilities and tasks to the members of the Committee (teachers, students, and social partners) who shall undertake to fulfil the assigned responsibilities and tasks.
Duties of the Committee provided for by the Regulations of the SPC:
25.1. to carry out the functions entrusted (assigned) to the Committee;
25.2. to submit a written report on the activities of the Committee for the previous academic year to the Dean of the Faculty and the Vice-Rector for Studies;
25.3. to make the annual reports of the Committee public to the community;
25.4. to provide information about the quality indicators and other data of the study programmes to the divisions executing the educational process, the Dean’s Office, self-evaluation preparation group of the study field, and other divisions related to quality assurance of the study programme(s) under their supervision;
25.5. members of the Committee shall participate in the meetings of the Committee, refer to facts when expressing their opinion, carry out the assigned tasks in a timely and proper manner, and comply with the requirements of academic ethics.
In accordance with the Decision of the Faculty Council of 9 October 2017 (Minutes No. VSF8-12), the Chairpersons of the SPC shall report to the meeting of the Council of the Faculty of Public Health on the activity of the Committee for the previous year by 10 October, on the annual basis.
The SPC members responsible for publicising of the activity of the Committees on the University website have been appointed by the Order No. VSF1-30 of 19 February 2020 by the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health. The appointed persons shall submit electronic copies of the above documents in pdf format to the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Public Health by email no later than by 30 September.
